{"id":2014,"date":"2022-06-26T16:49:27","date_gmt":"2022-06-26T16:49:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vampirefacial.com\/members\/?p=2014"},"modified":"2022-06-26T16:49:27","modified_gmt":"2022-06-26T16:49:27","slug":"vampire-facial-imposter-pleads-guilty","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vampirefacial.com\/members\/vampire-facial-imposter-pleads-guilty\/","title":{"rendered":"Vampire Facial\u00ae Imposter Pleads Guilty"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On June 24, 2022, the attorney general for New Mexico (Hector Balderas) announced that he <a href=\"https:\/\/ladailypost.com\/balderas-secures-guilty-pleas-against-vampire-facial-spa-owner-who-performed-unlicensed-medical-procedures-on-individuals-who-later-contracted-hiv\/\">secured a guilty plea for 4 felonies from a spa owner who was unlicensed to do the Vampire Facial\u00ae. <\/a>Because the procedure was done incorrectly, at least two people contracted HIV.<\/p>\n<p>Procedures involving blood are done routinely by most medical clinics on a daily basis; but, the Vampire Facial\u00ae is sometimes not understood (even by some physicians) because the device used to do the procedure should be approved by the FDA and the procedure must be done in a specific way in order to assure safety and the best possible clinical and cosmetic outcome.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/culture\/culture-news\/vampire-facials-hiv-new-mexico-risks-benefits-829686\/\">Rolling Stone reported<\/a> that only those listed on the <a href=\"https:\/\/vampirefacial.com\/members\/directory\">official Vampire Facial\u00ae directory <\/a>are licensed by the <a href=\"https:\/cellularmedicineassociaton.org\">Cellular Medicine Association <\/a>to perform the procedure.
